Pit and Fissure Sealants
These are preventive resin coatings applied to the biting surfaces of the molars and premolars. They flow into the pits and fissures of these teeth and prevent bacteria from getting stuck in the groves, out of the reach of the toothbrush. These are generally placed shortly after full eruption of the permanent tooth.
